Daniels L. Heinze, Jr.: President
Dan has been an insurance agency owner since 1997. Prior to that, he served in the U.S. Army with the 82nd Airborne and 101st Airborne/Air Assault; he also attended Fort Hays State University. Dan’s business career began in Newton in 1988 as a retail manager and owner. His insurance career started in 1996. After owning an agency in Wichita, KS, since 1997, Dan sold his Wichita business and purchased a Newton agency, returning to where his business career began in 1988. Dan is married with 3 children and 3 grandsons.
Mona Heinze: Commercial Assistant
Mona is a 1997 graduate of Bethel College. As part owner of Heinze Enterprises, Inc., she serves as our commercial/farm customer service representative and is Dan’s administrative assistant. Prior to getting her insurance license, Mona taught high school English for 14 years. She also owned and operated a restaurant for 7 years in her hometown, Protection, Kansas. Mona is married with 3 children and 3 grandsons.
Gene Slack
Gene has been in the insurance industry for over 54 years. His history and years of experience within the community and this office are very valuable to this day. Gene is a graduate of Iowa University and served our country in the U.S. Army. Gene is a past president of the Newton Area Chamber of Commerce and Distinguished Service Award winner for the Kansas State Junior Chamber of Commerce.
Dottie Smith: Receptionist, Claims and Assistant Personal Lines CSR
Dottie Smith graduated from Mid America Nazarene College with a Bachelor Degree in Christian Education in 1984. Dottie has been and continues to be the Children’s Minister at the First Church of the Nazarene in Newton, Kansas, since 1984. She obtained her property/casualty license in 2006 and is our front desk receptionist, as well as one of our personal lines customer service representatives. Dottie is married with 2 grown children.
Sarah Montano: Primary Personal Lines CSR
Sarah Montano is a Newton native and has a very strong connection with the Newton community. She has been licensed in property/casualty insurance since 1999, and is our personal lines department primary customer service representative. Sarah is married with 3 children.
